Above is a photo of my son, PFC Jason Reeves, of the US Army's 572 nd Engineers unit. They will be deployed to Iraq next month. We're very proud of him and all the rest of our soldiers over there, but, like so many families throughout our history of so many wars, we're scared to death.

No, it's I who should thank you - and the many lovely American friends I have made over the years in Boardland. I've never yet managed to visit - I don't like long flights - but my son loves it there and says he would live there tomorrow given half a chance - he and his family have been many times.
Always be proud - you all have a helluva lot to be proud of.
Thanks for coming by my board and I am only too sorry that this side of Christmas my Tuesday and Wednesday posting is minimal because of the hours I work.
